Story and tea time harmonize so well that one of my favorite tea companies, Adagio Teas, has blended rooibos with a beloved folk-tale in mind. Red Riding Hood Rooibos by Adagio Teas is a scarlet tea blend that will keep away the hungry wolf on your journey through the woods.

THE HUE
Red Riding Hood Rooibos by Adagio Teas is a tea blended from the “red bush” plant native to South Africa. It is no wonder then that the color is a beautiful scarlet red!
THE SCENT
Red Riding Hood Rooibos has an aroma fit for any woodland friends: apples, cinnamon, strawberries, cranberries and cocoa nibs. The scent permeating from this tea makes you feel as if you are in a journey through and enchanted forest.
THE SIP
Without 2 teaspoons of honey, Red Riding Hood Rooibos by Adagio Teas is smooth and bush-y (herbal or leaf-y) in taste. The apples and cinnamon are dominant while the strawberries and cranberries provide a soft escape.
With 2 teaspoons of honey, Red Riding Hood Rooibos remains a tea dominated by the tastes of apple and cinnamon, however, the sugars from the honey attach themselves to the strawberries and cranberries lending to a slightly sweater and dry tasting tea.
THE EFFECT
I just cannot get over how cute the tea tin is and that it is re-usable! The taste is delicious and safe for children under the caffeine sipping age. Rooibos is also known to help with an upset stomach.
