Tea Review

Chocolate Chip Tea | Adagio Teas

Who doesn’t like chocolate chips in their tea? Ok, maybe not chunks of chocolate but the flavor of chocolate is always welcomed in my book! Chocolate Chip Tea by Adagio Teas has cocoa chunks within the blend that dissolve pleasantly into the steep lending a chocolate flavor that is full-bodied and satisfying.

THE HUE

THE HUE: Chocolate Chip Tea | Adagio Teas

You know my favorite word to describe black teas: Amber-y. The hue is subdued, grounded, and very pleasant to day-dream into…don’t tell me that I’m the only one that daydreams while looking into my tea.

THE SCENT

THE SCENT: Chocolate Chip Tea | Adagio Teas

One word: Chocolate. The steep permeates the air and carries the scent of warm cocoa. I’ve tasted a lot of teas that profess to be “chocolate this” or “chocolate that” but Chocolate Chip Tea by Adagios Teas actually fits its description.

THE EFFECT

THE EFFECT: Wen Shan Bao Zhong | Origins Tea

A really cool effect happened when I steeped an entire tea pot of Chocolate Chip Tea by Adagio Teas and decided to put the rest of it in the refrigerator for later. Later, I sipped the chilled beverage and noticed that the chocolate notes became more evident; so much more so evident that they landed on the palate instead of just being a perfumed aroma at the end of the sip.

My friends and I thought it would be tasty to switch out the Assam black tea for Chocolate Chip Tea by Adagio Teas in my Lavender Milk Tea Recipe. It's delicious, try it!
